Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Support students in various educational settings including classrooms and resource rooms.
• Provide oneonone or small group assistance to students with special needs.
• Help students develop literacy and numeracy skills.
• Collaborate with teachers to create and implement engaging lesson plans.
• Assist in classroom management and behavior support.
• Support students with developmental disabilities and diverse learning challenges.
• Utilize American Sign Language or other communication methods as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students teachers and parents.
• Knowledge of literacy education childhood development and curriculum development.
• Experience working with students who have special needs or disabilities.
• Familiarity with Deaf education early childhood education or Montessori principles is a plus.
• Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapt curriculum for diverse learners.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language is advantageous.
