Job Description
We are searching for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift operator! You will be focused on safe and efficient movement of products and shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a propane/electric counterbalance safely and efficiently for storage or shipping of product
- Prepare products and materials for shipment
- Load unload and stage products and materials
- Track and record units of materials handled
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- Experience in a warehouse environment required (minimum 1 year)
- LTL loading experience is an asset
- Logistics/ Transportation warehouse experience an asset
- Knowledge of shipping documents an asset
- Strong work ethic
- High school education or equivalence
- English language proficiency
- Attention to detail and accuracy of recorded information
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team
- Comply with safety legislation as per the Ontario Health and Safety Act and company policy
- experience in loading crossdocking and unloading freight to maximize the efficient delivery of customer goods while maintaining a safe work environment
