Job Description

PURCHASING & OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR R25kR20k pm RETREAT Southern Suburbs

Requirements

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Enforce the company s inventory management policies with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits generating savings rationalising inventory and maximizing available working capital.
  • Manage and maintain the company s raw material and stocked product inventory on ERP and Excel register.
  • Manage and control month end inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy and costing checks on ERP.
  • Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital.
  • Ensure that goods inward and the stock control department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business. This is done on a biweekly basis
  • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately and in accordance with company procedures on ERP.
  • Liaise with Site Operator and Suppliers regarding deliveries and collections. (All Stock)
  • Ensure consumables and raw materials are ready and available for production as and when required.
  • Ensure that any consumables and raw materials on back order are followed up.
  • Import stock onto ERP System
  • Stock Reconciliation
  • Be responsible for planning and running regular stock takes and capturing on ERP as well as investigate understand & report on any stock count variances.
  • Provide routine management information on inventory performance: (Full Stock)
  • Monitor and evaluate consumables usage & costs.
  • Monitor & evaluate material utilization and scrap.
  • Review and Post consumables daily Purchase Order Processing
  • Capture and process all Purchase Orders on the ERP System.
  • Followup and ensure that all PO s have been processed and finalised (invoiced and submit for payment)
  • Source quotes for parts and specific stock for site and capture PO and Invoice on ERP Transfer orders
  • Internal orders
  • Production shifts
  • Payment Forecast
  • Daily Production Report
  • Daily stock on hand Report excl orders
  • Stock Taking Data Report
  • Consumables Report
  • Stock Variances Report
  • Review and sign off waybill register weekly
REQUIRMENTS:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 23 years experience with MS Office and on an ERP system a necessity
  • Must be responsible and dependable
  • Must have numeracy skills
  • Must be organizational skills
  • Must be able to communicate well
  • Must have a high sense of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure & obey clear instructions.
  • Valid Driver s Licence code 08.
  • Must be able to work with limited Supervision.
  • Must be open to flexible hours as & when required.
  • Must be medically fit able to pass occupational medical test
