Job Description

Pakistans leading Executive Search Firm Taraki is seeking a highly experienced General Manager/Country Head for its client Banyan Software. This position will lead the Karachi office to oversee operations and streamline procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing crossfunctional teams and driving strategic initiatives.

About the role:

As the General Manager your leadership will be critical in driving the operational excellence necessary to support the companys strategic initiatives and growth trajectory. By fostering a collaborative and efficient administrative environment you will ensure the Pakistan Team operates seamlessly and contributes significantly to the organizations success. Your role will be essential in positioning the company as a leader in the software acquisition space enabling it to scale effectively and achieve its longterm objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee and streamline the daily operations of the office ensuring all functions are performed efficiently and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Develop implement and continuously improve administrative systems and processes to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness

CrossFunctional Leadership

  • Provide visionary leadership to align all departments with the companys mission and objectives
  • Facilitate collaboration across various departments such as finance HR IT and compliance to ensure alignment with the companys strategic objectives
  • Promote interdepartmental communication and cooperation ensuring cohesive and integrated efforts towards achieving organisational goals.

Strategic DecisionMaking

  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans by providing datadriven insights and administrative expertise
  • Participate in executivelevel decisionmaking offering perspectives that enhance the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the organisation

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead mentor and develop a highperforming team cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback supporting team members career development and aligning their goals with organisational needs

Resource Management

  • Manage and optimise the allocation of resources including budget oversight ensuring efficient use and maximum return on investment
  • Oversee procurement processes and vendor relationships to maintain costeffectiveness and highquality service delivery.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws regulations and internal policies particularly those related to finance operations
  • Implement and oversee risk management strategies to mitigate operational and financial risks safeguarding the organizations assets and reputation
  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulatory and internal policies.

Innovation and Technology Integration

  • Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and solutions to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to keep the company at the forefront of the market

Financial Oversight

  • Manage the financial health of the organisation including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting
  • Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in finance business administration or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience in a senior administrative role ideally within the software sector
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of leading crossfunctional teams
  • Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial management budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent strategic planning and decisionmaking capabilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operational management risk management and compliance
  • Proficiency in administrative and financial software systems
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with accounting ERP systems (NetSuite and SAGE Intacct considered a plus)
  • Highly motivated and energetic with interest in entrepreneurship software and finance
