Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY

Works in conjunction with various departments such as Production support and Manufacturing Engineering of two buildings to ensure that machines or equipment are properly maintained or repaired when necessary.
Maintain a comprehensive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to ensure machines are fully operational and manufacturing is not disrupted by unplanned outages.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantle adjust repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans blueprints operating manuals or drawings
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers
• All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure meets or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.
• Communicate professionally with machine manufacturers parts suppliers and subcontractors
• Manage parts ordered with suppliers
• Manage appropriately machine subcontractors to include they meet safety requirements and company’s protocols
• Perform daily weekly monthly semiannual and annual TPM activities for all the equipment to ensure overall efficiency reducing down time and maximizing up time
• Maintain relationships with key thirdparty vendors and OEM manufacturers to identify critical spare parts for key equipment

• 2year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
• 3 years of mechanical or electrical experience
• Proficient with handheld mechanical and power tools and test equipment
• Demonstrate quality workmanship
• Effective problem solving skills and the ability to identify viable solutions under moderate supervision
