Property Maintenance Technician

• Perform the daytoday operations of the maintenance department.
  
• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
  
• Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
  
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  
• Perform work order repairs as assigned. Such may include repairing broken locks cabinetry repairs sheetrock repair plumbing repairs etc.
  
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
  
• Install appliances and equipment.
  
• Conduct unit inspections.
  
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
  
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarms smoke detectors fire extinguishers).
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or other similar position (Required)
  
• Knowledge of HVAC plumbing and electrical systems
  
• HVAC certification highly (Preferred)
  
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
  
• Ability to read basic technical manuals
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Physical stamina and dexterity
  
• Plumbing experience
