Job Description
An MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) Engineer should be proficient in AutoCAD and wellversed in fire safety standards. Key skills and qualifications include:
1. Education: A diploma or bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering is essential. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for the role.
2. Software Proficiency: Expertise in AutoCAD is crucial for designing and drafting detailed plans. Proficiency in this software ensures precision and efficiency in creating MEP systems.
3. Fire Safety: A comprehensive understanding of fire safety is vital. This includes knowledge of fire suppression systems alarms emergency evacuation plans and the placement of firefighting equipment. Familiarity with Indian fire safety standards such as the National Building Code (NBC) 2016 and IS codes 12349 and 1641 to 1648 is important.
4. Experience: Handson experience in MEP design installation and maintenance is critical. Practical experience allows engineers to apply theoretical knowledge to realworld scenarios ensuring the functionality and safety of MEP systems.
