Job Description
QA Tester resp for testing tech solutions to flag bugs usability issues & other defects using automated and manual testing. Need strong understanding of agile methodologies and exp using frameworks/tools such as BDD Selenium & JavaScript.
Note: Position is Hybrid.
Note: Must have Excellent Written and Verbal CommunicationUses both automated and manual testing to efficiently cover the systems functionality and ensure everyfeature developed by the team is tested Partners withdevelopment teams to identify key areas of risk in new solutions Communicates detailedinformation on any defects found to development team and helps the IT ProductManager prioritize defects Actively participatesin agile ceremonies as needed to provide clarifications and problem solve withthe team Strives to automate andmaintain comprehensive test suites with a continuous improvement mindset Runs tests inproduction environments after deployment to ensure quality Knows the productvision and works closely with the Business Analyst and IT Product Manager totranslate their vision into tests Stays updated withindustry best practices and standards on testing Promotes teamwork and communication to encourage aninteractive cooperative collaborative and customer focused work environmentamong division EDA staff and external customers. Must complete annual and semiannual selfassessment asrequired. Performs other duties and special projects asassigned.
Skillsand AbilitiesStrong analytical skills able toanalyze software systems to identify existing / potential issues Ability to developintegration performance and load bearing tests Skill Required /Desired Amount of required experience in yrs Candidate Experience Experience with Manual acceptance testing Exploratory testing and Creative testing Required 5 Years Experience implementing automated endtoend tests using frameworks and tools such as Selenium or similar automated testing tool Required 5 Years Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite Required 5 Years Strong experience testing using Agile Methodologies and participation in agile ceremonies Required 4 Years Experience running tests in production environments after deployment to ensure quality Required 4 Years Experience collaborating with Development Teams Required 4 Years Experience with any Project Management tool such as MS DevOps or Jira Required 4 Years Experience with JavaScript Required 4 Years Bachelors degree in IT / Computer Science OR related experience in technical field Required 0 Questions No. Question Candidate Answer Question1 Absences greater than two weeks MUST be approved by CAI management in advance and contact information must be provided to CAI so that the resource can be reached during his or her absence. Job Summary
The QA Tester isresponsible for testing technical solutions to flag bugs usability issues andany other defects before delivery to users. The tester will act as a qualitychampion and empower teams to create highperforming and resilient systemsleveraging both automated and manual testing to efficiently cover eachsolutions functionality. The QA Tester will collaborate closely with the developmentteam to flag issues and ensure each feature is thoroughly tested.

- Ability to prioritize workload must be highly organized detailoriented handle various taskssimultaneously and work independently within limited time constraints withlittle or no supervision
- Must be able tomaintain confidentiality and deal effectively and diplomatically with businessprofessionals and EDA staff
- Demonstrates respectfulbehavior and promotes teamwork and communication to encourage an interactivecooperative collaborative and customer focused work environment amongdivision EDA staff and external customers.
- utilizes Microsoft as the core application platform and proficiency in theMicrosoft Office Suite is preferred.
Communication
- Strong written andverbal communication skills; able to quickly process complex information andcommunicate test results issues and recommendations clearly
- Willingness to speak upand present contrarian views in team settings
Bachelors degree in IT / Computer ScienceOR related experience in technical field
Agile eExperience
Strong understanding of agilemethodologies
Experience as a tester oncrossfunctional agile teams preferred
