RN Consultant

AHI Advanced Health Institute provides consulting services to assisted living and nursing homes. We are currently seeking qualified RN’s for consulting and leadership roles with our clients. Specifically we are looking for nurses with DON experience in skilled Nursing and Assisted Living and MDS experience.

Job Description the Nurse Consultant is responsible for project work such as mock surveys plan of correction support interim leadership support regulatory guidance inservice education etc.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The RN Consultant performs well independently or with a team utilizing clinical analytical communication and customer service skills as well as sound judgement and professionalism.

• Function as an advisor for healthcare agencies and facilities

• Maintain current on professional standards of nursing care federal and state statutes / regulations

• Provide professional qualitydriven services including but not limited to mock surveys education research analysis of healthcare systems and processes creative problemsolving and recommendations and written presentations to clients

• Assist clients with assessing planning developing and implementing systems processes and other needs as requested

• Consult and provide technical or interim management assistance to providers as requested by the client

• Identify training needs; plan and conduct training/inservices as requested

• Work as a interim RN (D.O.N. Nurse Manager Housing RN.)

• Travel within Minnesota for work assignments as necessary

• Function within scope of work as defined by the client

• Maintain client confidentiality and function within HIPAA regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have current and unrestricted RN license in Minnesota

• Must have been in a Home Care Senior Living Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living leadership role for at least three years

• Strong customer service skills to coordinate service delivery including attention to clients sensitivity to issues identification and resolution of issues to promote positive outcomes for clients; requires initiative innovation and creativity

• Critical thinking skills with the ability to make good decisions and exercise sound clinical and professional judgment

• Proven knowledge of quality improvement concepts and processes

Must be flexible to travel.

Salary: $90000$130000
