Hospice Nurse

The primary responsibility of a Hospice Nurse is to keep patients comfortable during the last few months of their lives.

Job Description

• Monitoring patient vital signs including body temperature heart rate respiration rate and blood pressure
• Administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians
• Notifying physicians when they observe a change in a patients condition
• Counseling family members to help them know what to expect as their loved ones condition worsens
• Making family members aware of resources like counseling and government programs
• Helping family members complete paperwork
• Updating patient records
• Adhering to infection control standards of care and patient privacy standards

Requirement

• 40 MILE RADIUS RULE NO LOCAL CANDIDATES
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36
• Primary Location: Evansville Indiana
• Shift Requirements: 8hr Days 8:00 am 5:00 pm
• Compact RN License AHA BLS
• Minimum Experience: 12 Years Hospice Experience
• 1 travel assignment required.

Pay Rate
$2402 weekly gross
$60.05 hourly pay rate
