Job Description

The Role:

  • Systems Engineer IT/OT
  • Ireland
  • Remote role from Ireland with some travel involved as required Ireland and Europe
  • Permanent or Contractor opportunity

Role Brief:

This role is being hired to support a number of existing projects at SL Controls as well as a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

The chosen candidate will work in projects across a wide range of technologies such as infrastructure automation systems connectivity systems and database systems amongst others. The role focuses on levels 1 to 3 of the ISA pyramid.

You will work with both SL Controls engineering and technical team and client stakeholders to develop a range of solutions to meet project and client requirements.

Skills Brief:

  • Infrastructure: Office OS (Windows) desktop and server hardware virtualization environments.
  • Automation system: MES(PasX POMS etc. Level2 integration) Higher Level Languages (C# Python) PLC (Rockwell Siemens)
  • Connectivity (Kepware Devicewise) SCADA (Ignition)
  • Information system: Databases (SQL ORACLE)
  • Process expertise: Process automation Systems Integration.

Person Brief:

The chosen candidate will have highly relevant academic qualifications to Bachelors or Masters level with a qualification in Manufacturing Engineering or Computer Sciences or another relevant area of study.

You should have over 5 years experience as a minimum in a Senior Systems Engineering or IT/OT Consultant role with very significant experience in the Life Sciences Pharma or Medical Device manufacturing sectors.

Only candidate with strong exposure to Good Manufacturing Practice environments will be considered. You must have experience with a wide range of infrastructure automation connectivity and information systems as outlined above.

The role will be designated remote but ideally you will live in the Leinster or midlands areas. Some travel will be required (Ireland and Europe) and you must be available for this as required.

The role is client facing so only candidates with strong client facing experience and exposure to working with senior technical and business stakeholders in theLife Sciences Pharma or Medical Device manufacturing sectors can be considered. Exception communication and presentation skills are essential.
