Job Description
In this role you focuse on designing and configuring complex dredging installations for standard products and for clientspecific solutions.
Tasks
- Design configure and assess systems and components for product development projects and client orders.
- Ensure technical specifications and applicable norms and standards are met in consultation with other departments and third parties.
- Work with other engineers in project teams with a project manager engineering to propose and evaluate technical solutions for heavy machinery.
- Provide expertise in mechanical engineering and contribute to the development of new products.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding project progress and technical issues.
- Collaborate with other professionals including electrical and software engineers to ensure integrated product design.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelors degree and have working and thinkinglevel competency.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.
- Proactive with the ability to maintain a clear overview of projects.
- Hold a Higher Vocational degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Experienced in designing mechanical equipment with several years of work experience behind you particularly in dredging offshore or heavy machinery sector.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software like Inventor AutoCAD PDM and ERP systems with familiarity with the regulations and inspection processes of classification agencies being an added advantage.
