DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for planning and perform maintenance work to factory standards
•Weld cut & fit repairs or new installations troubleshoots issues and resolve.
•Perform routinely scheduled preventative maintenance and document work completed.
•Help develop longterm preventative maintenance projects and plans.
•Work with the production team to help drive effective targets.
•Liaise with tool room in order to efficiently have throughput of production
•Ensure safety and housekeeping meets the standards as set out in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act at high level and comply with all applicable ISO system requirements and ensure continual improvement of these systems.
•Ensure that specified approved and contractual required stock levels are kept.
•High standard of monitoring and reporting on electromechanical factory condition.
•Assist with specifications sourcing quality control of equipment required / refurbished repairs as well as pricing and implementation of standards.
•Ensuring that you perform conditionbased maintenance on equipment as well as that diagnosis testing and repair of electrical and mechanical failures on equipment is completed.
•Interpretation of electrical and mechanical circuit diagrams as well as informing the supervisor is informed of any additional defects as well as spare parts and time needed to complete the work
•Maintenance of equipment through utilizing the right tools and within safety regulations
•Ensuring that equipment/machinery is tested for functionality & safety before being returned to production
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Matric
•Millwright red seal certificate/ industrial electrical certificate
•At least a Millwright training course in phase 4
•COC compliant and authorized
•Fault finding and technical principles
•5 years post trade test experience
•Must have experience as a Service Technician
•Knowledge of overhead cranes to access outsourcing repairs
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
•Sound understanding of drawings
•Working knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics
•Must have full knowledge of PLC fault finding
•Strong communication and problemsolving skills
