Job Description

Expression Of Interest: Telecommunications
Rigger


Location: Malaga Western Australia

Job Types: Full Time Permanent

Hourly Rate: TBC


Our client is a Malaga based turnkey organisation offering civil construction rigging and technician capabilities to clientele in the telecommunications sector

They are seeking Telecommunications Rigger who will be
responsible to maintain install and commission telecommunications systems networks and equipment. Installation of Mobile base station equipment and transmission equipment.


The position is based in Malaga with some regional travel work.


Key Tasks of this role include:


1. Liaise with Rigging Supervisor & Lead Riggers.

2. Review jobs and complete onsite inspections ensuring all Quality Standards are satisfied.

3. Maintain and improve process efficiency and quality standards adherence.

4. Responsible for job resourcing of materials & equipment.

5. Ensure all documentation and photos are uploaded to the customer as required.

6. Installation of telecommunications cabling and equipment Installation.

7. Relocation and removal of tower mounted equipment.

8. Installation and construction of tower poles & masts.

9. Collecting and uploading site photos and information into company database.

10. Work at heights on mobile phone base station structures including poles towers and masts to install antennas feeders and ancillary equipment.

11. Carry out rigging techniques to install steelwork and equipment on structures.

12. Terminate communication cables of various types and sizes; assist with testing cables for compliance with specifications.

13. Establishes voice and data networks by running pulling terminating and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment RRUs combiners cable trays and building ironwork and ladder racks.

14. Establishing connections.

15. Follow industry standards.

16. Verifies service by testing circuits equipment and alarms; identifying correcting or escalating problems.

17. Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.

18. Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network backup procedures; updating documentation.

19. Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions.

20. Maintains safe work environment by following codes standards and legal regulations.

21. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

22. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

23. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Ideally you will have the following tickets and licenses:


Minimum 1 Year Experience

Basic rigging/ dogging ticket at a minimum (Intermediate/ Advanced preferred)

Working at Heights

Tower Rescue certification

Senior First Aid certification

Elevated work platform

RF awareness

White card

Australian drivers licence
