Job Title: RN CVICUPeds

Location: Austin TX 78723

Shift Details:

• Hours: 12hour shifts three days per week
• Schedule: 18:45 to 07:15
• Total Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Salary:

• NonLocal Pay Rate: $57.43/hr.
  • Taxable Wage: $42.93/hr.
  • Per Diem: $14.50/hr.
  • Reward: $7.40/hr.
• Local Pay Rate (within 75 miles): $45.95/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
• Perform patient assessments administer medications and implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patient conditions vital signs and responses to treatments.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Educate patients families on medical conditions treatments and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development to stay current with pediatric CVICU nursing best practices.

Requirements:

• Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in a pediatric CVICU or critical care setting preferred.
• Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a highstress fastpaced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods lift and move patients and equipment and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
