Location: Austin TX 78723

Shift Details:

• Hours: 12hour shifts three days per week
• Schedule: 18:45 to 07:15
• Total Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Salary:

• NonLocal Pay Rate: $53.65/hr.
  • Taxable Wage: $39.15/hr.
  • Per Diem: $14.50/hr.
  • Rewards: $6.95/hr.
• Local Pay Rate (within 75 miles): $42.92/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
• Assess monitor and support patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Administer medications treatments and assist with pain management as prescribed.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs recognizing and responding to any complications.
• Assist physicians and midwives during labor delivery and postpartum care.
• Educate and support patients and their families on labor delivery postpartum and newborn care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development to stay current with labor and delivery nursing best practices.

Requirements:

• Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in labor and delivery or maternalchild health nursing preferred.
• Skills:

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods lift and move patients and equipment and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
