Shift Details:
- Hours: 12hour shifts three days per week
- Schedule: 18:45 to 07:15
- Total Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Salary:
- NonLocal Pay Rate: $53.65/hr.
- Taxable Wage: $39.15/hr.
- Per Diem: $14.50/hr.
- Rewards: $6.95/hr.
- Local Pay Rate (within 75 miles): $42.92/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
- Assess monitor and support patients throughout the labor and delivery process.
- Administer medications treatments and assist with pain management as prescribed.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs recognizing and responding to any complications.
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor delivery and postpartum care.
- Educate and support patients and their families on labor delivery postpartum and newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Participate in continuous education and professional development to stay current with labor and delivery nursing best practices.
Requirements:
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in labor and delivery or maternalchild health nursing preferred.
