Job Description:

The Labor Law Compliance Manager will oversee and manage the companys compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role involves developing and implementing compliance programs monitoring adherence to regulations and advising management on compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal state and local labor laws.
  • Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations and update company policies accordingly.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Provide guidance and training to management and employees on labor law compliance and best practices.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues including employee complaints and regulatory inquiries.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex compliance issues and develop strategies for compliance.
  • Maintain records of compliance activities including complaints received and investigations conducted.
  • Advise management on the implications of labor laws and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of employee relations strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Law Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor law compliance or a related field.
  • Indepth knowledge of federal state and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Professional certification (e.g. SHRMCP SHRMSCP PHR SPHR) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
