Job Summary: The Director of Taxes will oversee the entire tax function of the organization ensuring compliance optimizing tax strategies and managing the tax team. This executive role requires a strategic leader with extensive tax knowledge and management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal state and local tax returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the companys tax burden.
- Advise senior management on tax planning and taxrelated matters.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and oversee all tax audits.
- Ensure the organizations compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
- Lead and develop the tax department team.
- Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and their implications for the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax with significant management experience.
- Deep knowledge of federal state and local tax regulations.
- Proven strategic thinking and leadership abilities.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
