Job Description
Job Title: Senior Manager MEP Design
Location: Based in Mumbai; must travel across India for project work.
Qualification: Graduate or Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Software Skills: AutoCAD Microsoft Office MS Projects ETAP Lighting Software.
Experience: 1525 years in Projects Operations Contracts or Design of Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Fire LV Systems LEED and Commissioning.
Job Requirements:
The role involves market development leading building and managing a team for various project scopes including:
- MEP Design (Commercial & Industrial)
- 3rd Party MEP Commissioning
- Risk Assessments
- Due Diligence
- Audits
- IST Works
- Operation System Reviews
Execution of projects must be completed with:
- Quality
- Timeliness
- Effective team management
- Technical proficiency
This will ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Client Management:
- Develop business by connecting with Project Management Architects Cost Consultants and key influencers.
- Act as a point of escalation for all regional projects ensuring execution meets client requirements and timelines.
- Manage daytoday reporting and project team matters.
- Team Leadership:
- Develop and manage a strong project design team.
- Serve as Zonal Head/Manager and SPOC for projectrelated escalations.
- Motivate the team to complete projects effectively and timely.
- Project Participation & Technical Guidance:
- Participate in key meetings and workshops as needed.
- Stay updated on reference guides/codes for MEP services.
- Review design drawings load analysis electrical load lists MD calculations single line diagrams and HVAC schematics.
- Prepare/review DBR & concept design reports for MEP systems.
- Coordinate MEP systems and review technical submittals timely.
- Design and Review:
- Prepare/review circuitries and layouts for power lighting ducting diffusers FAPA sprinklers and plumbing.
- Prepare RCP layouts and identify quality issues for site reports.
- Review design and development records asfitted layouts and documents.
- Provide technical guidance to the team and clients.
- Project Execution & Monitoring:
- Report project status and updates to higher management regularly.
- Ensure project timelines are met and client requirements fulfilled.
- Consult on project activities and technical aspects.
- Assign responsibilities to managers and engineers for project execution.
- Monitor project milestones billing cycles and outstanding amounts.
- Business Strategy & Development:
- Develop strategies for industrial sector business development.
- Manage design teams for commercial sector projects.
- Understand project requirements to guide the team effectively.
- Develop professional relationships with project team members (e.g. Architects PMCs MEP Designers Cost Consultants Contractors).
- Generate and pass on new project leads to Directors accompanying them to convert leads into work orders.
- Administrative Duties:
- Track TDS certificates project expenses (travel lodging food etc.).
- Document case studies and project milestones.
- Groom supporting engineers for service delivery.
- Maintain a professional network for future project leads.

- Technical efficiency in managing team and client queries.
- Proactive in business development and client relationship management.
