Job Description

Job Responsibilities • Collaborate with RPS in developing required radiation safety-related documents and procedures to ensure the compliance with all ministry requirements. Ensure the smooth management of Thermoluminescent Dosimeter (TLD) badges, leak test, calibration of radiation equipment for client facilities. • Ensure all the Naturally Occuring Radioactive Material (NORM) monitoring program, and nucleonic guage monitoring programme for Company facilities are implemented as per procedure. Ensure reports are submitted as per the ministry requirements. • Assist in overseeing adherence to Qatar's regulation on radiation procedures and the corresponding management systems, ensuring that all deliverables are achieved within the set time limits to maintain full legal compliance with Radiation Safety standards. Provide support in the resolution of radiation related incidents and contribute to management workshops related to radiation safety. • Provide technical support in the proper implementation of incident management systems to ensure that the third-party radiation contractor management are fully aware of their responsibilities at initial stages of the contract. • Conduct random field audits in coordination with end users i.e. department Field RPO, to ensure the compliance of the Radiation Safety Program by all Radiation related Contractors and Sub contractors involved in radiation work with the client, i.e, compliance with contractual obligations, contractor written procedures, ministry licenses to work, and quality of the work to maintain radiation safety. • Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science • Must be eligible to secure a Radiation Protection Officer license from the Ministry • Six years related experience including minimum 3 years experience as Supervisory RPO level within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry • Has extensive knowledge in managing a Radiation Protection program in an oil and has facility or heavy industrial manufacturing setting With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
