Job Description

A Licensed Automotive Service Technician is needed at a busy shop in Downtown Toronto ON (Dundas and DVP). Knowledgeable and reliable Service Tech will be required to inspect troubleshoot diagnose repair and maintain vehicles. A team player by nature the Automotive Service Tech diagnosis complex problems and find efficient solutions for them.


The Automotive Service Technician who excels in this role should remain informed on Federal and Provincial Regulations related to Safe Driving and be able use handheld equipment and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers. Must be experienced in repairing vehicles from Mercedes Audi Volkswagen Toyota Honda etc. systems including engines A/C electrical exhaust brakes axles oillube service and more.


Daily Duties Include:
  • Processing parts orders invoices and paperwork clearly and efficiently
  • Keeping communication open between customers and staff on status of work orders
  • Providing accurate and up to date reports on scheduled repairs conducted services and potential issues based on diagnostic inspections; Provide insight & recommendations

Red Seal Certified Automotive Service Tech with working knowledge of automotive equipment must:

  • Possess strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills in order to maintain optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Have welldeveloped interpersonal skills to effectively work with other members of the Service Department team and shop management
  • Be committed to consistently delivering high quality work
  • A valid Canadian driver s license and ability to provide drivers abstract for review.


Compensation

$34.00 $43.00/hour flat rate to start based on experience and training.

Tools Allowance $300 per year

Boots Allowance $120 reimbursed at the end of the year
