About the Opportunity:

FedTec is looking for a Java Software Developer at The Financial Management IT (FM IT) Services Branch in the Office of Corporate IT Services in GSAIT manages a wide variety of financial management applications and solutions. The FM IT Services Branch develops implements and sustains IT solutions to help GSAs internal and external customers meet their mission goals and objectives. Customers include the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) the Public Building Service (PBS) GSA Staff and Service Offices GSA vendors and external Financial Line of Business (FMLoB) Management customers. The FM IT Services Branch maintains various applications and solutions for different financial services including invoice management budget planning and billing. For the purposes of this contract this suite of applications is referred to as the FMLoB environment or portfolio.The developer will primarily work off site however they will periodically need to be available to meet with the client and/or the technical lead on site at MCB Quantico.

Responsibilities:

• 4 years of Java Development experience on Java 8 with a solid understanding of ObjectOriented design programming.
• At least 3 years of programmer experience with JBoss Enterprise Application Platform development experience
• At least 3 years of Programmer experience with Java/JEE experience
• Experience with Java J2EE JBOSS Spring XSL/XSLT SOAP Web Services Hibernate JPA Maven Git Eclipse and Oracle databases.
• Proficient in developing testing and debugging SOAP web services.
• Work with external development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases.
• Provide technical support for an application developed in Java and Oracle SQL.
• Excellent debugging troubleshooting and communication skills in enterprisegrade applications.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues reported by endusers
• Monitor and maintain the application ensuring its optimal performance and availability
• Familiarity with databases and able to write SQL queries

• Participate in the testing and implementation of new features and functionality

Qualifications:

• 45 years of experience
• Education: Bachelors in Comp Sc or related field.
