Job Description

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the accounts payable process ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable operations including processing invoices expense reports and check requests.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payments through various methods including checks ACH transfers and wire transfers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain vendor accounts and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up to date and accurate.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in monthend closing activities including accruals reconciliations and reporting.
  • Review and analyze accounts payable aging reports to identify and address outstanding payments or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounts payable function.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
