Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing the accounts payable process ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with company policies and procedures. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable operations including processing invoices expense reports and check requests.
- Verify and reconcile invoices purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payments through various methods including checks ACH transfers and wire transfers in a timely manner.
- Maintain vendor accounts and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up to date and accurate.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist in monthend closing activities including accruals reconciliations and reporting.
- Review and analyze accounts payable aging reports to identify and address outstanding payments or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounts payable function.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
