Job Description
This is a remote position.
SUMMARY
We are looking for a talented NOC Engineer with handson experience in using NAble to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing our clients networks and systems ensuring high availability security and performance. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and manage network and system performance using NAble.
- Respond to network and system alerts identify root causes and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on network devices and systems.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Create and maintain documentation for network configurations procedures and processes.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Develop and implement network monitoring and optimization strategies.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new network devices and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a NOC Engineer or similar role.
- Handson experience with NAble network management and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with the Windows patching side of NAble
- Scripting/automation experience in NAble RMM
- Strong knowledge of network protocols technologies and standards (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN etc.).
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network devices such as routers switches firewalls SonicWall and servers.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware HyperV).
- Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Network Cisco CCNA etc.) are a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience with network security practices and tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Should be willing to accept a longterm workfromhome arrangement.
- Should be amenable to a permanent night shift schedule.
