Job Description
Edit and refine raw footage into highquality video content that aligns with the creative
vision and objectives of each project.
Collaborate closely with producers directors and other team members to understand
project requirements and deliver compelling storytelling experiences.
Utilize industrystandard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or
Avid Media Composer to achieve desired results efficiently.
Integrate visual effects graphics and sound elements to enhance the overall production
value and audience engagement.
Manage multiple projects concurrently ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining
high standards of quality and creativity.
Pursue further education through relevant courses workshops or selfdirected learning
to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Serve as a mentor to student interns or junior team members providing guidance
feedback and support to help them grow as creative professionals.
Balance workload effectively between editing responsibilities academic pursuits and
mentorship duties demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a video editor in the mention relevant
industry e.g. film television advertising etc..
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro or Avid
Media Composer.
Strong understanding of video production processes including shooting techniques
lighting and audio recording.
Exceptional storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail demonstrated through a
diverse portfolio of editing projects.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a fastpaced environment taking direction from team
members while also contributing creative ideas and solutions.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to provide
constructive feedback and mentorship to others.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development with a desire to
pursue further education while balancing work responsibilities.Experience with motion graphics and visual effects software such as Adobe After
Effects.
Familiarity with color grading techniques and software such as DaVinci Resolve.
Prior experience mentoring or teaching students in a professional or educational setting.
Faculty, Teaching, Video Edition, Digital Video Editor, Motion graphics, film studies, Excellent communication, Presentation skills
