Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure that Tech Refresh security infrastructure at the client site is configured installed tested and operational as per the Design guidelines.
- Support Site survey in coordination with the Vendors from the perspective of Racking Power and Cabling requirements for the New Firewall as part of Tech Refresh
- Ability to convert configuration manually or using Tool from Existing Fortinet Firewall to new Fortinet Firewall
- Implementation & Administration Fortinet Firewalls using Forti Manager
- Installation of new FWs Creating FW config files Creating / Modifying Firewall policies using FortiManager
- Validate Stage and Test the configuration in the Fortinet Firewall and highlight the gap if any.
- Ensure the Integration and compatible working of Fortinet Firewall with Nokia Cisco HPE and Aruba Switches during the migration.
- Implementing High Availability as per the Design guidelines
- Upgrading the Fortinet Firewall with latest code
- Fine tune the Fortinet Firewall with industry best practices
- Available to support the environment during the Hyper Care support.
- Create Handover documentation for the operations team.
- Understand requirements & liaise with customer stakeholders for implementation.
- Troubleshooting issues related to misconfiguration or connectivity from firewalls / VPN.
- Coordination with OEM for performance and bugs related issues.
- Coordination with OEM for break fix and RMA issues
- Performing version patch and updates.
Required Skills
- Typically requires 58 years of related experience.
- Desired Certifications Fortigate NSE4 or relevant professional certification in other OEMs.
- Hands on experience on FortiManager Fortigate Firewalls FortiAnalyzer FortiAuthenticator (L3)
- Excellent understanding and troubleshooting skills in VDOM IPsec VPN technologies High Availability (HA)
- Experience in manual or Tool based configuration conversion from old Fortinet Firewall to new version.
- Handson Knowledge on products such as Fortinet 101E 301E 501E 1101E 2201E 3301E series firewalls
- Experience of Network/Firewall management managing Security profiles/policies.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot various network problems using utilities like nslookup traceroute ping net stat and packet sniffers like wire shark tcp dump etc.
- Best Practice implementation to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
- Audit compliance as per company policy.
- Knowledge of Fortinet firewall and its integration with Network components
- knowledge of remote user access technologies including IPSec VPN SSL VPN Explicit Proxy ZTNA and SWG Proxy.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Ability to communicate and work across different cultures and social groups.
