Position: Senior Advisor IT Infrastructure
Location: Bangalore
Duration: 12 Months

Roles and Responsibilities (JD)
- Engineer performs SAN/NAS Administration storage solutions Predominately Deep Knowledge on Vmax3 Unity powermax Isilon Appsync.
- Responsible for performing a wide variety of daily storage management tasks migrations as well as maintaining frequent communications with the customer to ensure the requirements of each task are fully understood so expected timelines are met.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision. Considered advanced in the implementation and use of Client storage solutions.
- Knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex storage environments.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers.
- An opportunity exists for an Advisor Service Delivery (SAN) to join Managed Services Organization. The successful candidate will assist with managing and migrate an Enterprise customers Storage Infrastructure as part of a domestic group.
- This role will require the candidate to be part of a formal support rotation and it should be additionally noted that out of hours oncall efforts will be required as part of incident support and delivering project responsibilities specifically to implement changes that necessitate impact to Customer production.
- EXPERIENCE: 6 Years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge on client products & technologies like VMAX3 PowermaxUnityISILON etc. Implementation skills on SAN NAS CISCO/Brocade SAN Fabrics implementation ISL Port Channelling/trucking and zoning Knowledge and working experience of implementing and designing of Data Migration. Knowledge and working experience on Client Software like SAN copy Open replicator Open Migrator SRDF Time Finder Replication Manager Power Path/ME.
- knowledge on operating systems like UNIX and Windows and awareness on Virtualization and VMware. An implementation skill on Client is a must.
- Specialist Certification in any of Client products ITIL is an added advantage. Integrating different applications like Oracle SQL Sybase SAP etc into storage is an added plus.
- Experience on virtualizing storage array environment & data mobility using VPLEX is added plus. Customer focused.
- Strong communication skills and exposure to international customers and ability to demonstrate Sense of urgency regarding customer reported issues. Strong problemsolving experience required. CrossFunctional skill.
- Organizational skills. Knowledge of the technical aspects of hardware/software subject matter.
- Understanding of ITIL principles and processes. ITIL certification preferred. Knowledge on VMAX / PMAX/ Block / Unity /Administration/ file. In Depth Knowledge on FAST VP /Thin Provisioning Administration.
- In Depth Knowledge on Replication Technology SRDF /S SRDF /A Time Finder Clone /Snap Recovery PointRM. Knowledge on Migration Technology PPME /Open Replicator /Open Migrator.
- Knowledge on Fabric (Cisco Primary (ISL Port Channel) / Brocade) Knowledge on tools (Power Path Symcli ECC Storage Scope RPA RP Fabric Manager) cisco brocade XStream I/o
Experience Range:
- Total Exp 4 to 12 years
Mandatory Skills 3 Must have:
Desirable requirements:
- Deep knowledge and hands on experience on Storage technologies like Unity Powermax/Vmax Isilon App sync Brocade and Cisco Switches.
- ITIL certification/knowledge
Regular activities:
- Healthy check Storage allocation storage decommission Snapshot (Creation extension deletion) Lun expansion.
- VM cluster knowledge Lun sharing.
- Code upgrades.
- Manage Hardware replacement with vendor coordination.
- Trouble shooting.
- Change management incident management and request management.
Secondary Skills:
- Vmware OS (Unix windows)
