Job Description
Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Location: Garden City NY 11530
Location: Garden City NY 11530
Duration: 6 months
Sft: 7 am to 3: 30pm
Position Summary:
This position controls inventory of finished goods needed to fulfill forecasted sales and scheduled distribution plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors and updates schedule to reflect inventory turnover stocking decisions forecasting and administrative controls.
- Analyzes inventory levels production speed product demand and shipment schedules to help guide on reordering levels for product availability.
- Supports with inventory system.
- Works with the Material Handlers in supporting the operations ontime efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to complete heavy work assignments while remaining detailoriented.
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and can work in a fastpaced environment.
- Must have a flexible schedule to be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively both in written and verbal form.
- Knowledgeable with ERP systems (SAP Oracle Agile or any other ERP system) a plus.
- Ability to lift at 40lbs and have ability to constantly be standing for at least 68 hours during the day.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum Experience required: 35 years of previous materials experience or applicable experience required.
