Overview
The Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that all machinery and equipment within the organization are operating at peak efficiency. They are responsible for conducting routine maintenance troubleshooting and repairing any malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment. The Maintenance Engineer collaborates with various departments to prioritize tasks and minimize disruptions to production processes. This role is essential in driving the organizations productivity and fulfilling its commitment to safety and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Conducting inspections to identify and address mechanical issues
- Repairing or replacing faulty components and parts
- Developing maintenance procedures and ensuring compliance
- Collaborating with production and engineering teams to prioritize maintenance tasks
- Ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and providing technical expertise
- Documenting maintenance and repair activities
- Managing inventory of spare parts and equipment
- Training and supervising maintenance staff
- Participating in the installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Implementing predictive maintenance techniques

Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and drawings
- Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques
- Ability to use various hand and power tools effectively
- Understanding of safety and quality standards
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy in maintenance work
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices
- Certification in equipmentspecific maintenance and safety procedures
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Willingness to stay updated with industry advancements and best practices
