Job purpose:

Ensure a profitable growth of the Group Health portfolio through the timely preparation of competitive Group Health proposals for new and renewal business within the framework of company’s underwriting philosophy, policy, authority limits and procedures focused on the UAE and regional business clients.

Department overview:

Corporate Health Pricing is the Middle East Regional Underwriting unit operating under the framework of Company’s underwriting philosophy, policy, authority limits and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and deliver customized and compliant Group Health proposals for New Business and Renewals
• Handle the referral process of RFPs received from the Distribution team, according to the underwriting authorities received and underwriting guidelines, for local and multinational companies (e.g. pool/captive)
• Adopt creative underwriting approaches to analyze and interpret financial data of companies and their performance
• Prepare policy wordings, other documentation and technical claims mandates outlining practices
• Cooperate with the Distribution team to develop a profitable and sustainable portfolio
• Communicate and cooperate with Health Operational teams on policy administration elements
• Ensure that technical quotations are in line with Company's practices, underwriting guidelines & regulatory framework
• Assist the Pricing team with data download and reporting as required
• Ensure good customer relations when communicating both in writing and verbally, by telephone or in person.

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in Group Health Underwriting
• and analytical skills, high level of numeracy
• knowledge of Group Health insurance products
• Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
• Excellent communication skills
