Job Description

As a Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the QDF warehouse and sub-stores. Ensure the right resources are in place and operating effectively so as to meet and exceed operational targets. Utilise support teams in such a way as to maximise productivity safely, whilst continually looking for and implementing business improvements that promotes best-practice activities. Monitor costs, running continuous improvement plans to identify and implement cost savings whilst improving service to QDF and external customers. Be the primary operational contact for 3rd art clients, QR group services, facilities management, maintenance and government agencies. Accountabilities: • Manage the day to day QDF Warehouse operations (including sub-stores) to ensure agreed key performance indicators are met and customer expectations exceeded. • Ensure warehouse productivity and safety measures are agreed, implemented and monitored to maximise productivity whilst managing costs and minimising operational risks and issues. • Provide feedback to the HODs regarding issues around stock and space, work with them to maximise operational efficiencies. • In conjunction with warehouse maintenance and FM teams, ensure equipment is operating safely and that the working environment is clean and serviceable. • Management of both Weekly and Monthly Operational Reports that are tailored around 4 core areas: Customer Key Performance Indicators, Manpower and Resource Planning Reporting, Stock Discrepancy Reporting and Management Reporting. • Ensure all Occupational Health and Safety standard operation procedures are adhered to at all times and risk assessments are carried out on a regular basis. • Conduct regular Warehouse/Bond/Sub Store inspections to ensure standards are maintained. • Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed. • Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery. • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
