Gynaecologist Consultant

Overview

Key responsibilities

• Conducting regular gynaecological examinations and interpreting patient medical histories
• Diagnosing and treating various gynaecological conditions and disorders
• Performing surgical procedures such as hysterectomies laparoscopies and other gynaecological surgeries
• Providing prenatal care and managing highrisk pregnancies
• Conducting cancer screenings and providing appropriate interventions
• Offering counselling and education on reproductive health family planning and menopausal management
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participating in research and staying updated on medical advancements in the field of gynaecology
• Maintaining accurate patient records and communicating effectively with healthcare team members
• Supervising junior medical staff and providing guidance as needed
• Participating in oncall schedules to ensure 24/7 availability for emergencies

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Completion of residency training in obstetrics and gynaecology
• Board certification in gynaecology
• Valid medical license to practice as a gynaecologist
• Proven experience as a Gynaecologist Consultant or in a similar role
• Indepth knowledge of gynaecological conditions treatments and surgical procedures
• Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records
• Strong diagnostic and decisionmaking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Empathy and compassion for patients physical and emotional wellbeing
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
• Adherence to medical ethics patient privacy and confidentiality
• Availability for oncall duties and flexibility with work hours
• Strong organizational and time management skills
