AsstManager - Supplier Quality - Electrical Electronics

Job Overview: As the Assistant Manager of Supplier Quality for Electronic Components you will play a critical role in ensuring that all electronic components procured by the company meet the required quality standards. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust quality control measures across the supplier base conducting audits providing guidance to suppliers for quality improvements and collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams to resolve any quality issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supplier Evaluation and Approval:

Assist in the evaluation and approval of electronic component suppliers based on predefined quality criteria.

Conduct initial and periodic assessments of supplier capabilities quality systems and manufacturing processes.

2. Quality Control and Assurance:

Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards for electronic components in alignment with industry regulations and company requirements.

Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

3. Supplier Development and Improvement:

Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for quality improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers in resolving quality issues and implementing best practices.

4. Audit and Compliance:

Plan and execute supplier audits to assess adherence to quality standards regulations and contractual requirements.

Generate audit reports track findings and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

5. Crossfunctional Collaboration:

Work closely with crossfunctional teams including procurement engineering manufacturing and quality assurance to address qualityrelated issues and drive continuous improvement.

Participate in supplier selection processes and provide input on qualityrelated considerations.

6. Training and Development:

Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders and suppliers on quality requirements standards and processes.

Keep abreast of industry trends best practices and regulatory updates related to electronic component quality.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and uptodate records of customer interactions quality investigations and corrective actions.

Keep a track of internal issues log customer complaints log customer returns (if any) due to component issues.

Track yield reports / internal failure data tracking and actions in place.

Maintain accurate records of supplier quality performance audit findings and corrective actions.

Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review highlighting key quality metrics trends and improvement initiatives.

8. Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with industry standards and customerspecific quality requirements for products & processes.

Stay abreast of evolving standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Minimum of 69 years of experience in supplier quality management preferably in the electronic components industry.

Strong understanding of electronic component manufacturing processes quality control methodologies and industry standards (e.g. ISO 9001 IPCA610).

Experience in conducting supplier audits and implementing corrective actions.

Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Proficiency in quality management tools and software applications.

Other Skills Preferred:

Certification in quality management (e.g. Lean Six Sigma AS/ISO Internal auditor etc).

Familiarity with industryspecific quality standards and IPCA610 & JSTD Class3 requirements

Experience with electronic testing equipment and tools.

Ability to manage internal issues and keep regular internal communication with team and CFT

Thorough understanding about EMS manufacturing practices and methods
