Job Description

Commercial Construction Project Director

Partner Staffing is currently working with our client a leading construction company specializing in commercial projects in Calgary Alberta and the surrounding areas. With a commitment to excellence innovation and client satisfaction our client has built a strong reputation for delivering highquality construction projects on time and within budget. In helping support their continued to grow we are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Construction Project Director to join the team



Requirements

Position Overview:

As the Commercial Construction Project Director you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our commercial construction projects from inception to completion. You will manage project teams ensure adherence to timelines and budgets and maintain high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing largescale commercial construction projects and possess strong leadership communication and problemsolving skills.

Responsibilities:


Lead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Develop and implement project plans schedules and budgets.

Coordinate and oversee project teams including subcontractors and suppliers.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations building codes and safety standards.

Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timelines and budgets are met.

Communicate regularly with clients architects engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the course of the project.

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and safety standards are maintained.

Provide direction oversea team development and conduct performance reviews.

Foster open communication and collaboration aligning with corporate strategy and vision.


Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field (Master s degree preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management.

Proven track record of successfully managing largescale commercial construction projects from inception to completion.

Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and techniques.

Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of relevant regulations building codes and safety standards. PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Requirements Minimum 4 years onsite construction experience Minimum 3+ years of continuous superintendent or supervisory role experience (in construction field) Strong working knowledge of current construction methods, drawings, specifications and building codes Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employment and other designated information Self-motivated, creative thinking, organized, and efficiency Excellent Good oral and written communication skills Ability to effectively manage time, responsibilities and priorities Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership and team building skills Level 1 (minimum) First Aid certification and knowledge of (WHMIS) Systems Budgeting and estimating skills (computer word processing and spreadsheet programs an asset) Proficient with computers, multifunctional processing units, telephones and faxes Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and skills in data entry Valid driver's license
