Our client is seeking a Legal & Compliance Manager to join their team in Malta orMunich and be responsible for the licensed operations in the German market. Theprimaryresponsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with all applicable rules in Germany. You will be theorganisations main advisor on German compliance including managing the licence conditions draftingand implementation of policies and procedures and licence maintenance. You will be required to overseeand manage the tasks and issues in a timely manner and be proactive in taking the lead on all mattersrelating to Legal & Compliance matters in Germany.

Location: On site Malta or Munich

Responsibilities:

As a Legal & Compliance Manager your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Be the main advisor for all matters relating to compliance requirements in Germany and on occasion assist on other markets as may be required
• Assist the Legal team in managing litigation in Germany and other Germanspeaking markets as may be required
• Maintain a close relationship with our legal advisors
• Manage and maintain all policies and procedures in Germany including those relating to AML and RG
• Guide the AML & RG processes for Germany together with the relevant teams
• Provide compliance advice guidance and training to the company and company employees
• Build and maintain a relationship with the gambling regulators and other relative authorities
• Be responsible for the timely submission of all reports to the German authorities and assist the Technical Compliance team where necessary
• Review compliance of marketing and product developments
• Keep senior management up to date on regulatory updates and ensure compliance is maintained
• Undertaking the end to end process of performing audits and reviews as and when required
• Fulfil any positions required with the regulator as may be requested including MLRO Compliance Officer and RG Officer
• Review product and advertising to ensure compliance
• Provide additional support where required
  

Requirements:

• At least 2 years proven experience within a gambling compliance role;
• Strong German language skills (ideally native speaker) and English fluency;
• Indepth knowledge of the German gambling market and relative regulations including antimoney laundering consumer law and antimoney laundering law;
• Knowledge of the general Gambling industry;
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
• Manage own workloads and meet deadlines determined by the urgency of requests;
• Attention to detail e.g. accurate capture of data;
• Analytical and risk assessment skills;
• Excellent computer skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Flexible and the ability to develop methodologies;
• Interacts with stakeholders in a professional serviceoriented manner.
