Job Description: Export Market Development Manager

Position: Export Market Development Manager
Location: Surat Gujarat

Job Summary:

The Export Market Development Manager will be responsible for identifying developing and managing international markets for our MMF shirting and suiting fabrics. The role involves market research building strategic partnerships and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in international sales and market development within the textile industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential export markets.
    • Analyze market trends competition and customer preferences in target regions.
    • Prepare detailed market entry strategies for new regions.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement export strategies to achieve sales targets and market growth.
    • Identify and establish relationships with key distributors agents and partners in target markets.
    • Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with international clients.
  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in export markets.
    • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
    • Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to international customers.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations export controls and documentation requirements.
    • Stay updated on changes in trade policies tariffs and import/export regulations in target markets.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing international clients.
    • Address customer inquiries resolve issues and provide excellent aftersales support.
    • Gather feedback from customers to inform product development and improvement.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Monitor and report on sales performance market trends and competitive activities.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management on export activities and market developments.
    • Use datadriven insights to refine and improve export strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in International Business Marketing or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in international sales and market development preferably in the textile industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and growing export markets.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Knowledge of Surat s textile market and industry dynamics is highly desirable.
