Job Description

STATEMENT OF NEED AND INTENTSFDPH is working to refresh computers monitors webcams speakers and other associated endpoints across shared workspaces in our organization. We are seeking three (3) PC Desktop Support Technicians to facilitate the rollout and deployment of two (2) different workstation packages; one designed around exam rooms and the other around all other shared workstations across our locations in the City and County of San Francisco.
This is an inflight project with much of the groundwork having already been completed by SFDPH staff. A Project Manager or Coordinator will be responsible for handling details around schedules locations and other logistics. We are seeking resources with excellent technical time management and communication skills to ensure these devices are deployed across our environment in a highquality consistent and timely manner.
The focus of this role is on deployment installation and postinstallation validation of these endpoints being rolled out across our SFDPH locations. This is not a project management or oversight role; we are seeking three (3) technicians to work with our teams in direct handson installation of workstations.
The scope of the effort will comprise about 2700 workstations in total across our main campus and acute hospital at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital our skilled nursing campus at Laguna Honda Hospital numerous outpatient clinic locations throughout the city and administrative spaces. Replacement of individually assigned equipment (i.e. personal computers or smartphones) are out of scope for this project.
Please note that this individual Task Order Proposal will result in three (3) awards. An individual firm may submit up to nine (9) different individuals for the three (3) technician roles. Each role will be awarded individually. For example the three (3) technician roles could be filled by three individuals from three different firms. Preference will be given to working with a single team of three from a single firm if available.
ANTICIPATED CONTRACT TERMThe minimum contract term is 4 months from the start date with an option to extend. The Contractor is expected to work an estimated 40 hours per week for up to 46 weeks per year.The desired start date is June 3 2024. The Contractor must be available to commence work on or before this date.The anticipated end date of the contract is October 31 2024.SCOPE/DESCRIPTION OF WORKSFDPH expects the contractor(s) to work independently in performing tasks involved with the installation and testing of the endpoints and associated peripherals. These tasks include ensuring proper device functionality with respect to Windows Active Directory Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager and Checkpoint endpoint security environments. This role requires a fulltime inperson presence in San Francisco. SFDPH staff will be physically receiving and preparing the equipment. SFDPH may choose to add additional deployment or other resources in the future.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe Proposer certifies that it meets the following MQs:1. Windows Certification2. Healthcare experienceDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSDesirable experience knowledge and skills may include but not be limited to the following:1. Microsoft Active Directory2. Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager3. Checkpoint Endpoint Security or similar productsWork Location: Travel will be required. The role is 100% inperson. Preference will be given to local resources.
