Mechanical Engineer

Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer on a small team to perform Missile and Pod technical data package updates over a 24 month period in preparation for full rate production of the hardware. Assignment includes: required design changes cost reduction changes supplier rampup to initial production.

Requires demonstrated skills in collaboration and completing engineering design and drawing tasks and release in a timely manner. This position is expected to work under the direction of a Lead Design Engineer and the candidate must have the ability to collaborate with supporting functions of Stress Analysis Materials and Processes Test Production and senior Mechanical Engineers to mature the tech data package (TDP) or released engineering for production.

Basic Required Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum # of years experience should align to the level selected
Geometric Dimension and Tolerance understanding
3D CAD modeling and drafting experience
Past performance as an individual contributor
Experience with formalized drawing release process and configuration management.

Desired Qualifications:
Strong performance in a small team environment
Missile or Rocket program experience
Creo CAD software
Windchill PDM software
