Job Description

On behalf of MAN Energy Solutions MARPRO is looking for an Area Sales Manager PrimeServ Turbomachinery for the companys office in Schiedam.

As an Area Sales Manager Turbomachinery you will be leading the development and achievement of order intake objectives plans and activities of related products/services in the assigned territory and in the assigned product line. You will maintain and report leads and quotes for the region in accordance with MAN reporting guidelines. You will also be responsible for spare parts maintenance and overhaul of existing equipment.

Key duties

  • Supporting the growth strategies within the region (budget quotes order intake turnover customer visits) and following up on outstanding payments
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service for the entire machine population in one or more countries
  • Bringing in new customers with a systematic approach including agreement regarding general terms and conditions
  • Registering MAN products with all customers/end users so that each product gets the best chance in the marketplace
  • Building relationships with customers from prospects to closure
  • Negotiating contracts and service agreements
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing plans and overseeing the regional sales budget
  • Gathering and communicating market information and/or competitor activities
  • Being the first point of contact for PrimeServ technical inquiries for accidents and repairs
  • Being responsible for preparing quotations and finding technical and commercial solutions in cooperation with the product centres
  • Negotiating independently with customers (in line with sales guidelines and regulations)
  • Bearing responsibility for building an internal MAN network
  • Being able to travel regularly
  • Providing input for annual sales budgets
  • Ensuring the achievement of commercial results of the Netherlands region according to annual sales budgets

Professional Qualifications

  • Strong commercial skills and a completed Bachelors degree
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in sales preferably in the HDRE manufacturing/services industry and/or mechanical engineering
  • An open character and motivation to connect with a wide range of different people
  • An entrepreneurial mentality combined with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Excellent skills are required in areas such as communication contract negotiation and drafting terms and conditions
  • Strong networker engaging and knowledgeable about the local market and within MAN
  • Assertive and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Sales experience in an international environment
  • Reliable and conscientious
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing is a must
  • Good command of the German language is a plus
