Job Description

For one of our clients we are seeking an experienced and dedicated (Senior) Trade Compliance Specialist to join ASAP our client on a temporary basis and ensure smooth and compliant customs clearance processes for the EMEA region companies. Trade Compliance Specialist

The Challenge

  • Ensure smooth and compliant customs clearance processes across EMEA companies.
  • Develop and implement customs and trade compliance strategies.
  • Represent Trade Compliance in key company projects related to legislation changes setup of flows crosscountry operations and FTA applications.
  • Act as the single point of contact for trade compliancerelated questions.
  • Collaborate with other Trade Compliance teams to implement global Trade Compliance Standards processes and tools.
  • Provide targeted support and advice on trade compliance aspects of supply chain logistics or transport operations projects.
  • Manage relationships with Customs Clearing Agents through metrics providing strategic direction and guidance and driving continuous improvements.
  • Achieve CIP targets through operational improvements while ensuring service quality reliability and compliance.
  • Ensure compliant and timely reporting to customs authorities.
  • Ensure smooth internal and external trade compliance audits.
  • Proactively identify and resolve key issues with a sense of urgency demonstrating continuous improvement in transportation lanes resource management and leveraged value.
  • Conduct monthly postentry reviews and provide expert insights on the obligations of companies importing and exporting consumer MD and pharma products and materials.
  • Implement improvements and adjustments to traderelated activities of companies and customs brokers and initiate postentry corrections (PEC) based on working instructions.

Your Profile

  • A degree in Business Administration Logistics Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in trade compliance customs clearance or a similar function.
  • Indepth knowledge of international trade and customs regulations as well as Free Trade Agreements (FTA).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as a central point of contact.
  • Strong analytical skills and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Experience in managing relationships with customs authorities and agents.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fastpaced environment with a strong ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Fluent in English additional languages are an advantage.
