Systems Analyst III

1. Migration Efforts: Lead the migration from legacy systems to modernized systems at state hospitals including planning data assessment cleansing and mapping. Document all phases engage with stakeholders and ensure clear communication throughout the SDLC. (40%)

2. Compliance and Validation: Ensure design compliance with HHSC standards and set up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity postmigration. (10%)

3. Testing: Perform testing of the migration process create and execute unit test scripts manage test scenarios analyze test results and debug issues. Utilize established software development and testing standards. (25%)

4. Progress Updates: Provide regular updates to all stakeholders use ticketing systems for information sharing and prepare presentations and updates to explain the migration process system functionality and technical challenges. (15%)

5. PostMigration Support: Facilitate the transition to the new system by providing support postmigration training endusers preparing system documentation and recommending optimization strategies. (10%)

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • 8 years of experience in database management systems and data migration with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systems.
  • Experience with InterSystems Cach Database Oracle Microsoft SQL Server or similar database scripting.

• Preferred:

  • 2 years of experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.
  • Familiarity with information architecture Agile Scrum Methodology and existing/planned solutions.
