About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and meticulous Assistant Manager Retail Development (Leasing) to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving our retail growth and enhancing our brands footprint throughout Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:
Expansion Planning
- Develop and implement strategic expansion plans to increase our presence across multiple states.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful execution of these initiatives.
Quality and Quantity Outlet Targeting
- Conduct thorough onsite research to identify potential retail locations.
- Engage with landlords agents local management residents and business owners for indepth discussions.
- Foster longterm relationships to support future development and expansion efforts.
Negotiation and Agreement Management
- Negotiate Letters of Intent (LOI) Letters of Offer (LOO) and Tenancy Agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Ensure all agreements align with the company s interests.
Renewal Management
- Proactively manage lease renewals providing a 6month notice prior to expiration.
- Analyze current market trends and conditions to inform renewal decisions.
Project / Tender Handling
- Manage and oversee tender projects effectively.
Administrative Duties and SOP Implementation
- Implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and handle administrative tasks related to retail development.
- Ensure proper documentation and manage the release of deposits via the Retail Development form.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Real Estate or a related field.
- Proven experience in retail development or similar roles.
- Experience in Chain Stores for F&B Pharmacy or Convenience Stores is highly advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationshipbuilding abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and competitive market.
