We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Junior Real Estate Law Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate law with specific expertise in using software tools such as Terraview Unity and PrimaFact. The Junior Real Estate Law Clerk will be responsible for starting client files and managing them through to project completion ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
File Management: Initiate organize and manage client files from inception to completion ensuring all documentation is accurate and uptodate.
Software Utilization: Utilize Terraview Unity and PrimaFact to manage real estate transactions including title searches document preparation and file tracking.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information provide updates on file status and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Document Preparation: Draft review and finalize various legal documents related to real estate transactions including agreements of purchase and sale leases and closing documents.
Title Searches: Conduct thorough title searches and analyze results to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
Compliance: Ensure all real estate transactions comply with relevant laws regulations and firm policies.
Coordination: Liaise with lawyers real estate agents financial institutions and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth and timely completion of transactions.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions correspondence and documents.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the real estate law team as needed including scheduling appointments managing correspondence and assisting with file organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or certificate in Law Clerk Studies or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience as a law clerk preferably in a real estate law setting.
Software Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in using Terraview Unity and PrimaFact. Familiarity with other legal software is an asset.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of real estate law and related legal procedures.
Detailoriented: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing legal documents and client information.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Problemsolving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
