Deputy Manager - Manufacturing

Position Summary

We are looking for manufacturing engineer in ETTS Chennai plant.

Key responsibilities

• Experience in APQP Process planning (process designing). Experience to Interpret product design requirement into manufacturing process design considering Safety Quality Takt time Line balancing Capacity Planning & Production Ramp.

• Working experience in Automotive Industries following IATF 16949

• Lead the Lean manufacturing initiatives including value stream mapping and material flow process optimization plant layout and material handling process WIP reduction Inventory optimization Build and optimize machine capacity Manpower scroll Ergonomics improvement and line throughput improvement etc.

• Experience in development of equipment defining the technical specifications obtain competitive quotes establish time plan follow up Trials at Supplier / Plant locations interact with facilities and maintenance to hook up utilities installations and commissioning of equipment.

• Experience in development of Fixtures / Tooling / Gauges required for new projects. Conduct PTR (Production trial runs) and PPAP runs with significant quantity / time.

• Experience in Working closely with Cross Functional Team (Application / Engineering Procurement Project management Manufacturing Maintenance and Quality) during all phases of product development to optimize process designs for SPQCDM (safety productivity quality cost delivery / efficiency and maintainability / reliability).

• Familiar in utilizing the core tools including MSA SPC FMEA APQP PPAP and Control plan. Establishing process control charts monitoring PokaYokes in inprocess and prepare standard operating procedures

• Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and implementing sustainable corrective actions. Problem solving through 8D principles lean six sigma tools and techniques.

• Knowledge of Proe Catia Solid work and Analysis software would be an added advantage.

• Knowledge on Servo controlled pressing machines Injection Moulding Soldering Epoxy/PU potting Heat treatment Coil winding & PCBA assembly process.

• Report on Environment health and safety related issues on the available communication mediums.

• Ensure safety audits completion on time and vigilant to safety at workplace for safe working environment.

• Knowledge on ISO 45001 safety standards .

• Safety Incident investigation & Closing responsibility with 8D.

Desired Profile

• 1015 Years in Auto Ancillaries
• Certified Lean six sigma green / black belt Working experience in Minitab.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (Written & Oral)
• Good working knowledge of MS office Tools (Excel Power point and Word)
• Excellent Interpersonal and Analytical skills
• Implementation lean manufacturing practices / working knowledge on VSM / Kanban / String Chart / Motion study / Industrial Engineering / Through put time evaluation / manpower optimization.
• Experience in developing testing facilities development.
• Estimating investments and quoting for future business needs

Education

• Bachelors degree in engineering Electronics & Electrical/ Mechatronics.
