Our client is a specialist for intelligent drive technology and systems. Their customers are in diverse industries such as oil and gas energy mining ship technology rail and commercial vehicles. They are looking to employ on a fulltime permanent basis an experienced Quality Engineer. This role will be based out of their offices located in Croydon.
Drug and Alcohol related medical for all New Employees upon starting.
Quality Engineer Offer
36k to 42k depending on experience
Hours are MonThurs 08:30 to 16:30 and Fri 08:30 to 15:30 a 36.5hour week

Quality Engineer Responsibilities
Support the Quality Manager and deputise in their absence
Assist in maintaining the Company Quality Management System and compliance with the appropriate national and international standards throughout the Company.
Complete internal audits as per the schedule and promptly produce the report.
Follow Up with internal departments regarding NCR s raised from External/Internal sources. Support departments as required using RCA tools.
Conduct supplier assessments audits and appraisals if applicable.
Maintenance of the calibration system and help manage the external calibration service provider.
Support Mechanical Inspector regarding inspection of machined and/or fabricated parts.
Development and implementation of process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Controlling the release of technical documents to production.
Working with engineering on controlled test specifications/procedures.
Presentations to the workforce on Quality Processes.
Managing the quarantine area ensuring parts are actioned within a suitable timeframe by the relevant departments.
Manage the workshop audit schedule with the auditors and ensure findings are communicated to relevant managers and recorded on the NCR database.
Drafting Quality Plans and Method Statements as required.
Quality Engineer Requirements
Educated to degree / HNC level within a Mechanical Engineering background
Engineering / technical background including knowledge of engineering / Railway standards.
Extensive experience of quality systems in a safety critical engineering environment.
ISO9001:2015 Internal or Lead Auditor certified.
Experience in Quality Assurance techniques and the ability to make recommendations to management.
Be conversant and able to work in both metric and imperial units of measure.
Fully conversant with such as Micrometres Callipers Height Gauges and CMMs (Inspect 3D).
Must be able and willing to work in various and sometimes challenging environments.
