Climate & Sustainability Deputy Manager

Work youll do

You help develop research and analysis on critical business and technology issues and trends relating to climate and sustainability. Leveraging a variety of research methods and rigorous analysis you will provide unique perspectives and be a trusted source for timely and reliable and businessrelevant insights.

The role entails conducting indepth research on technology and market developments related to climate and sustainability to surface technology and business trends develop leadership reports and write briefs based on primary and secondary sources. You will be expected to develop research ideas frame hypotheses analyze quantitative and qualitative data and develop actionable findings and insights. Sources and tools you will use include interviews with subject matter experts and industry leaders thirdparty databases and commissioned research analyst reports government publications industry commentaries and news articles.

Deloitte India is looking for a motivated ESG and Sustainability professionals to join the Risk Advisory Function. We are looking for candidates with approximately 69 years of relevant experience in India and South Asia which may comprise of a mix of work experience in one or more of the following areas:

• ESG strategy roadmap development and transformation
• Social / CSR Impact Assessment
• Environment and Impact Assessments and evaluations (ESIA)
• ESG Due Diligence / compliance audits/ internal audits;
• Environment and Social Management Systems
• Climate and Net Zero Transformations

Preferable locations: Mumbai / Delhi / Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities

• Participation in sustainability and climate engagements for multiple sectors as per regulatory requirements and international standards
• Manage teams and operational aspects of projects
• Knowledge of Environmental & Social surveys and related management
• Review reports contribute to report writing as well as mentor team with technical nuances
• Interact and respond to clients
• Support Business development activities proposals and business development material.

Other requirements:

• Min. Qualification Postgraduate degree (Masterslevel degree)/ BTech in a relevant discipline (i.e. Environmental Science Environmental Engineering Masters in Social Work etc.);
• Good understanding and interpretation of key international ESG frameworks and standards (e.g. E&S Standards of multilateral funding agencies (IFC World Bank ADB) Equator Principles UNSDGs GRI SASB TCFD etc.)
• Good understanding of Indias regulatory framework in the ESG & Sustainability space
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Language skills (excellent written and spoken English skills).
