Overview:
The Director of Project Management will be responsible for overseeing the planning execution and completion of all electrical engineering projects. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with a deep understanding of project financials including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects leading teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of project managers ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
- Foster a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
- Oversee the development of project plans including defining project scope goals deliverables and timelines.
- Ensure all projects are executed in accordance with company standards industry best practices and client requirements.
- Develop and manage project budgets including cost estimation allocation and control.
- Monitor project financial performance analyze variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management providing insights into project profitability and financial health.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Project Management Business Administration or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is preferred.
- PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 710 years of experience in project management within the electrical engineering or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of project financials including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in leading and managing project teams.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
