Job Description

In this interesting role, you will provide guidance and operational coverage to the team ensuring efficient and effective implementation of purchasing function with full compliance to regulatory framework. Communicate with all other QACC departments, investigate on new product opportunities and present range proposals to the Management for informed decisions. You will be responsible for cost effectiveness and ensuring that sufficient stock is available at all times to meet the business requirement. Accountabilities: • Support, train and manage team members on day to day job functions to execute strategy and plans. • Ensure stock availability/collections to meet business requirment. • Report current purchasing activity to the Management and monitor stock levels while minimizing stock write offs. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Suppliers, meeting with them regulary for formal reviews to ensure product guidelines are met and best fit products are selected and procured on time. • Keep abreast of changing market place. Negotiate in best interest of Company, with "International & Local" suppliers, regarding selection, price, term, deliveries, fright and insurance, quality, special discounts, extended credit & general marketing support, strategy and training to maximise profitability of organization. • Share signed purchase orders with suppliers once approved to monitor the purchasing process. Follow up on shipment orders placed and receive invoice from suppliers. • Ensure purchasing systems are up to date with products and pricing to facilitate its smooth operation at production level. • Communicate effectively with other QCC departments to resolve purchasing issues, which could be but not limited to Substitutions, out of stock, over stock, on hold shipments etc. • Co-ordinate with Planning and Production for all special events such as Eid, Christmas, thanksgiving requirements as required to ensure product availability. • Ensure that all VIP requirements are catered for ensuring taht the Amiri purchasing support team are aware of product standards required and the cash processes, manage the team of admin and drivers accordingly.
