Job Description

As a Senior Manager Catering Operations, you will responsible for the 24/7 planning and delivery of all aspects of the Catering Services operation worldwide. Work across the organisation to deliver all aspects of the on-board service requirement, ensuring that all flights departs on time and with the correct specification of catering, bars and dry stores. Leads, manage and develop the supplier community and internal teams to deliver the highest standards of compliance and safety. Other key accountabilities include – Strategic • Responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan, which provides liaison across delivery activities between the Equipment Team, catering suppliers, worldwide airports and the DOH hub during normal and disrupted operations. • Accountable for providing the strategic direction to the performance management of all service providers to ensure that the agreed service is consistently delivered at the highest possible standard at the lowest cost Accountable for the development of a strategic plan delivering greater efficiency of delivery of all equipment items ensuring best value to the airline at all times. • Develop and lead catering services environmental agenda. Operational • Reviews and recommends in/outsourcing opportunities to ensure best value from all delivery activity. • Accountable for the daily operational aspects of Catering Services including taking appropriate action and for making timely decisions to ensure delivery of catering at all times 24/7 whilst protecting safety and operational integrity. • Accountable for ensuring that Service Providers deliver award winning 5 Star Inflight Service and plans and ensures the application of robust service level agreements to incentivise the same. • Responsible for resolving conflict between operational parties including external suppliers at a senior level such that operational integrity is maintained at all times. • Develops and leads the relationship with all suppliers, in relation to the processes and procedures, with the global airport management team as a key part of the turnaround process at airports worldwide. Leads caterer Business Continuity and operational contingency planning and to maintain operations during disruption and represents Catering Services on corporate safety boards and in security / safety reviews. • Accountable for the daily delivery of the catering budget which is 90+% DOC. • Accountable for developing improved logistics and supply strategies for all catering items to reduce cost and complexity • Accountable for catering input to new aircraft development and other long-terms corporate planning • Takes responsibility for time-bound operational decisions which directly impact cost ensuring that safety and operational integrity are maintained whilst ensuring that the Delivery team always operate within the requirements of corporate governance. • Drives reduction in spend on weight and wastage. Qualifications About You We are hiring for an experienced professional to join our Catering Management team. • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent is essential • 10+ years of planning and delivery of Catering Services operation worldwide • Working in an operational role within large multi-cultural operational teams preferably within airlines/ airline catering. • Knowledge of global catering operations and suppliers. • Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
