Job Description

You will be responsible for performing procurement tasks for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and spare parts in a group of product categories while adhering to category strategies that are in line with financial and operational requirements. Participate in the supplier selection process, establishes strong inter departmental relationship and provides time bound execution of tenders. Works directly with end users to define specifications to execution of orders. Interface with internal customers and suppliers to ensure best value for the company in line with its strategic, financial and operational requirements. Accountabilities: • Plan procurement activities in line with operational requirements, meeting timeframes as agreed with user departments. Forward planning for procurement activities to achieve all projects competitively and on time. • Identifies and proposes cost savings opportunities to reduce total spend. • Responsible for development of savings solutions and benchmarking of industry standards. • Recommend process improvements to reduce RFQ timelines. • Assist in ensuring that organizational requirement of goods and services are met through an open and fair tender process. • Responsible for negotiations planning and execution with suppliers on costs, commercial and contractual terms. • Assists to conduct market search to identify potential suppliers as well as to maintain and promote sound relationships with suppliers and business community. • Strive to assist the respective department to achieve best value, quality and delivery terms, at all times for goods and services procured on behalf of the organisation. • Complete end-to-end RFQ process including all documents required as per relevant Policies. Provide regular status updates to internal user departments and suppliers on procurement activities, acting as primary point of contact. • Proactively manage internal user expectations and use best endeavours to meet reasonable user delivery requirements for projects. Qualifications About you You will possess: Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience. Preferred • Procurement related vocational qualification and/or educational credits • Degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance or Engineering. • Experience in airline industry. • Experience in purchasing Ground Support Equipment.
